Teamates quiting ingame
« on: December 13, 2007, 12:05:04 AM »
on doubles and t slaya some losers quit ingame and leave you on your lonesome,

man i hate this but there are ways to win

if your team is ahead or equal use gorilla tactics, take a close range weapon and hide in a close combat
area, on construct down b low around the corna where the maula spawns and the fusion coil things r is a good spot, and just let the tima run tha will get frustraited and run around looking for you tha will not hav time 2 react when tha run past you, then like a sniper move, if tha attack in pairs then after killing tha first 1 through nades like crazy while back pedalin.

if the other team is ahead tha will hunt you down in pairs and tha have probli got all the good weapons
but tha cant take all the sticky nades so if you stick 1 of them ull prob kill the other even if you die you will still will get a point more, plus you will also free up those good weapons

you guys got any tactics?

i love when my team quits out cause they suck any ways....but a good strat is do not rush by yourself wait for the prey to come to you....use power weapons...shotty, snipes...there all good...and use powerups to get an  edge to overcompensate for lost players....for a shotty snipers game i knew my team was bad so i told them to stay inside the base on Valhalla while i got kills....it was quite funnny.

i just had another (more my teams fault)
there was one guy left his teamates had quit cus they where losing 40 to 49 we all were hunting him down to get the final kill little did we no that when we were in the bases he got the shot gun from b low
then we didnt find him so we went across the bridge he comes out just as we go past the rocket spawn it apears he sneaks up grabs it triple kill for him i hit him with a noscope i go to change weapons he destroys me with a rocket, overkill we respawn scattered he does some jump to a ledge this time we search by our selves he drops down from his ledge kills that guy with tha shotgun moves to a different place kills a guy who comes round the corner in the end we lose 50 to 49 and he ends up with a running riot killing frenzy two killing sprees an overkill triplekill two double kills heaps of sniper headshots etc...

he was a colonal grd2 or something and im trying to find his gt

i got a "threatening message" lolz from this guy, i was playing wi him in team slayer, we were loosing and i had the most kills, when i suddenly got disconnected because my modem is kinda bit crap, next minute i know i get this message saying-

'you are a Pussy, u quiter'

i couldn;t blame him really because it was my fault... i checked on the bungie stats and apparently everyone in our team left apart from him ..haha poor fella

Pardon the thread necromancy:

This is a copy+paste from another thread:
-If one of your team mates gets disconnected or quits before the end of the game, don't immediately give up. If the game suddenly turns into 3v4, 2v4, or even 1v4, this can only mean good things. Since there's fewer team mates to worry about, your remaining team can stick closer together. It also means there's one less target for your enemies to kill, so less point opportunities for them. True, it's a slightly uphill battle, but if you can fracture your enemies into smaller groups and catch them alone and keep a few power weapons on your side, you'll easily dominate the battle. I've turned countless games from -5 or worse to +10 or better simply by convincing the remaining team that we can win. I once had a general and colonel send me friend invites for being such a good sport in a THC slayer game when all three of my other team mates quit and I managed to go 24-30 by the end of the game. They said it took some real guts. I just told them I'm not the quitting type  ;)

New advice:
-I don't give a !BLAM! what other people say, but if I'm at a disadvantage in the numeric sense, I'm gonna be a power weapon hog. Just to spite the other players, I will purposefully pick up a power weapon I have no intention of using in order to cause it to decay before the enemy can get their hands on it. I will !BLAM! those power weapons to the fullest extent, because it's the win that counts, and I'll do damn near anything to win. QQ moar, n00b.

if you are playing noobs just charge in a kill them if you are playing beter kids and the score is close just camp
if you are loosing by a lot and they are way better you might just want to quit and move on to another game.

try playing with a full party of kids you know wont leave you hangin

I played 7 Team Slayer games in a row where one guy dropped off before the game even started. What luck I had.

I dropped 4 skill levels.

This is actually an advantage in SWAT. We had two people quit on our team. Me and this other guy ending up coming back and winning. I had 28 and he had 22. It was great!

on construct i usually juts grab dual maulers or sword and hide just to the left of the spartan laser or between the crack on the right of the gold lift i won many games after my teamate quit by doin this. i wouldnt hide by maulers cuz of those fulel rod things and cuz u just can get away from nades and once they know ur their all they have to do is come i from both directions in TD
