some good placements; p1 driving warthog p2 battle rifle in passenger seat p3 warthog turret p4 driving mongoose p5 back of mongoose spartan lazer or rocket launcher p6 crashed pelecan with missle pod p7 sniping from over where that other mongoose is, opposite the crashed pelecan i think by those rocks p8 moving around with machine gun turret probly around the base. big team battle only 8 per team or system link

When I play and someone jumps off the mancannon and your in the center it helps to have some plasma or fragmentation grenades.

STEP 1:When they launch and start flying though the air throw a grenade near the area the mancannon player lands (try to get accustomed to the place by finding landmarks like a giant crater).
STEP 2:The grenade will damage them a lot and all your have to do is take a couple shots at them to get a simple kill.

     ***TIP***A BR (battle rifle) helps a lot with this but an assault rifle is fine as well.

Take conroll of the pilican and use your sniper rifle. I know you'd think, "oh, well everyone's going there so what's the point?" But it really can turn the tide of a war if you can post a good sniper up there. (at least on team games, I rarely play lone wolfs but I'd immagine it wouldn't work)

The thing about that spot as compared to most is that it's fairly easily fortified, and quite difficult to be countersniped. Anyone trying to lead an assault to take you down can be easily dipatched of if you know what your doing. (but that's mostly assuming your on the base closest to it, if your on the opposite side, sneak under the rock overhang and go right a lil to be between the rocks on the uphill. It's a good to catch the people sniping at the pelican off gaurd without getting killed yourself. For some reason they just rarely watch that spot.)

Vehicle tips!  Do not run out and use the missle pod against the people.  Wait for their banshee to start flying around then use it.  It really angers me when people use it against other players on foot.  2nd hold off on using your own banshee atleast for a min or two.  Their will probly be a noob who will die and see it laying their and use all of the ammo.  3nd Unleash the vehicle!  If you take out their banshee then go to their warthog.  Think if your whole team is in vehicles and your team has the spartan laser.  You will dominate the fight.  In the banshee fly around their base everyonce in awhile and destroy their vehicles.

The warthog is definetly the main source of my killing on this map. I usually wait for a minute or two before using it to get the laser first or kill the other teams missel pod guy.

After that i usually roll right to the back of the other teams base and have my gunner (i love to drive)  Destroy all the vehical at thier base. That way they are stuck of foot for a few minutes till the hog re-spawns. After that i roll around the sides of the map like by the pelican and through the river cave. Dont just go after the first guy you see, wait till there is a group moving twords the battle. Never sit still in the hog cause you never know when that laser has got you pinpointed, or you hear the inbound missle alarm.

If i'm on foot i grab BR and head for shotty cave and wait for guys to come flying out of the man cannon. i'll toss nades at thier landing spot and start BR'ing them or draw them in with BR fire to end up giving a shotgun to the face.

I think my best Team Slayer (ranked) score on there was 50-15. Warthog FTW. I've gotten my buddies Running Riot's, Overkills. Thats by far my favorite of the bigger maps. Even if your down a little Use your vehicals smart and you can get on a great comeback.


Now if the Hog is tearing up your team grab the brute shot up by the Mongoose/ bubble shield spawn. Use that to flip the hog  and then nade and BR the crap out the two advesaries and you'll get your kill joy.

Don't be afraid to turn up the volume. You can hear them using the man cannon. I stuck one player in a group of three that landed in the river after using the man cannon and was awarded a triple kill.

I love when the not so smart guys go off the man canon at the beginning of the match on snipers. I got a double kill a few times from that. 

PS...

There's also a little rock right behind the pelican that you can get up on. Its hard as hell for the opposing team to see you.

I find owning the hill is key to the slayer match on this map.  Whoever owns the hill owns the map.  Splazer is there and a great view of either sides man cannon landing area.  Two BR's spawn there and frag nades so if you can stay alive you can really do some damage... and if you have two or three of you there you can really pin down the other team.  A question I have for you guys is what call outs do you use on this map?  I'm trying to improve my communication with teammates and I don't have very great call outs for this map, same can be said for the other BTB maps, Last resort and Sandtrap. are there some standard call outs that you guys are using?

yeah, i totally agree about the center hill spider. As far as call outs go, there's a lot of open ground, so it makes call outs for exact locations on this map a little trickier.  I use the big landmarks the most, Pelican, Turret, shotgun caves, bubble, water cave, cannon drops, and the 5 territory locations.  I doubt any of those are too ground breaking, but they get my teammates looking in the right direction.  Unless your playing with a team that knows your *unique* call-outs, I find yelling less common ones like 'knuckles' or 'grey' just confuses the average player.
