MLG CTF
« on: April 07, 2008, 10:03:17 AM »
I was playin MLG and realized I need some help.  I've never played objective games before and to start playing them in the MLG playlist was... competitive.  I noticed that CTF is played on the Pit and Onslaught so I need all of you to help me with my CTF game for both maps.

1. How many people should guard the flag? Where should they set up? What weapons should they use?

2. Should everyone rush for power weapons at the beginning and risk leaving the flag unprotected?

3. Who should rush for flag and with what weapon? Should two people rush together or at different angles?

4. When you get the flag, whats the best route to take to get it back to your team?

If anyone can answer these questions my team and I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I haven't really played MLG as most of the veterans but from my personal experiences playing i'll try my best.

1. If you're going to designate someone to guard the flag then i would just make one person guard the flag since its hard to take a flag with only two people. If you just keep 2 people on defense and 2 people on offense you have a good chance of losing when they slay both of your offensive players and rush your remaining buddies with their team while yours is on respawn.

2. Rockets could mean the difference between a win or not but i wouldn't make the whole team rush rocks. Maybe you could have 2 rush for rocks, 1 flank bridge, and one watch hallway.

3. Not really sure but both of you should secure the area before taking off with the flag. I think its dumb to run away with the flag leaving your buddy to fend off their team unless you have a real shot of scoring.

4. There is no best route w/o communication. If your teamattes are calling out enemies at their training on pit then you should obviouly make your escape through the rocket hallway that way your teamates can help you out by flanking through camo.

Hope that made sense and helped.
