EA buying all the smaller companies!
« on: October 17, 2007, 05:57:37 PM »
They bought some more... I dunno I don't like it at all. Competition is good for the industry but they are just eating the competition. It's getting uglier. If you get blacklisted by them, you're in trouble! It's like they are powerful enough to buy up the right for NFL so nobody else could make an NFL game. That's brutal imo and I don't like it at all.

Yeah, it's troublesome to me. If it keeps happening like this the industry could be in trouble. That sounds odd considering the staggering revenues from it, but falling stock prices etc will have an impact. Corporations scare me a bit.

I think its good, a small company cannot afford to take back recalls and distribute new ones as a big monopolie company such as EA can. I think if you want to make a company in that field then DONT sell. Simple. Just say no. The money is too good to pass up, money talks and people walk.

these days its hard to find a game without the EA GAMES symbol on it. i dont really care because buying alot of smaller companies is a good idea because youll get a big company and  more money. but if the business falls itll fall hard.

i dont think Ea will fall at all...there  a good reputable company with various games under their belt ranging from sport all the way to shooters.....they have secured themselves on the market by buying into smaller companies more assets is suppose but more people to have equals a better game
