Steady BR
« on: August 04, 2008, 11:19:18 AM »
How do a lot of better players I see keep their BR so steady? I moved my sensitivity down to 4 and I still feel like I am all over the place. Any tips?

I played on 4 then moved up to 5 to try it out and I was all over the place, then I moved back down to four and it is alot more steadier for me again, two tips I can give you is practice practice practice, get a couple friends go into the BR arena and practice for a good half hour, hour, same thing with sniping as well, also just because your at 4 may not mean thats where your most comfortable with, there are pro players out there that have there sensitivity at 2 so don't always try and shoot for a higher sens, experiment with things and see how it feels and works out for you.

I play on 2 sens, any higher and it seems like im all over the place! aiming for the neck and  using the left stick to aim instead of the right has helped me a LOT. I really dont know any other tips for the BR besides practice practice practice lol. does anyone else have any more good ideas?

Another thing when you play stay calm, I play well when I'm not all riled up, the only time I get pissed off is when I play with Eli, I can play fine against anyone else except for him. whenever I see him I'm just saying in my mind " OH SHIT" and my BR goes all over the place. And also the fact that he hacks gives him a huge edge as well ;)

All it takes is practice. Just keep getting used to whatever sensitivity you're looking to play on. If you find your br to loose just push lighter on the thumb stick or down your sensitivity.

Well my BR is very unsteady sometimes. Ashthera can confirm that somedays I can 5-shot him consistantly, but other days he out-BR's me and I can only get him down to about 1/2 shields. <-- exactly why I don't play MM too much.

Any tips on helping me?

I have told you this before, STOP SWITCHING UP YOUR SENSITIVITY! You go from 10 to 3 and that messes you up, you need to stay at one sens and get comfortable with that or else you will get confused.

You had me consistently there for a few. Maybe you just get nervous? Try relaxing a little bit.

Yeah but you'd get me with those nades. Sometimes I hate the radar.  :P

Riangle got me with those quite a few times. It teaches you to start jumping around the corners when unsure.  ;D
