How important is Halo 3 Single Player to you?

Very important, I will beat every possible setting.

I don't care that much, I will play from the start to finish one time.
10 (43.5%)
It means nothing to me. I likely won't finish the missions and will jump right into the multiplayer.

I agree. Noobs should know whats going on to start with. I personally make sure I've beaten each halo on legendary at least 2 or 3 times before i match up with people. There are some wild players on live that will not have mercy on a noobs who just doesn't get it. I show no mercy cause none is shown to me when i stumble across one of those "sure shot snipers".

I actually like the campaign more than multi player. Playing by yourself on legendary, especially with hindering skulls in play make the game incredibly harder and more strategic in sense.
I have to tell you I only do certain parts of the game on legendary and have never passed it on the setting either but I do pretty good on MP.  I move and use the same tatics that many of the more experienced players use but I ussually don't get raped.  But have been throughly raped before by a few players that just made me look stupid.  So I don't know if you have to have beat the game on legend to play on MP.  I have had games where I have just dominated the players easily.  I have also had games were I get 20 kills on a regular slayer match against much higher leveled players so...Idk.

I think SP can be helpful, actually, I know that for a fact. In those horrible days of when I was a complete n00b, I was getting outgunned constantly, and were talking still in the range of skill levels 5-10. When I picked up the BR and went into campaign, I spent an entire day practicing my accuracy on the Brutes and generally working with the AR, that night I shot up to a 15 and left n00b ranks that same night. I still use SP for a warm up before I go into multiplayer, and it genuinely helps me get to grips with things before a match.

I think SP is a good tool to help with aim and get a feel for your sensitivity and button layout. However, it's nothing at all like multi... I voted "idc" because I usually don't. For some reason, though, I couldn't help playing through this one. I guess it was just because this is supposed to be the last one. I played through on normal then co-op on legendary. Judging from my current skill level, though, I should get some more practice. Just a Lt. right now, but I'm proud to have it. Worked long and hard for my Officer Pin. Anyway, I digress. SP, good for learning the ropes... not for learning multiplayer tactics.
