Internet Connection speed.

How can I improve my connection? I took a test @ speedtest.net and was wondering if these were good results for a computer.

download time was 4822 kb/s

upload was 489 kb/s

ping was 36 ms

HEREs mine:

Download ---- 1160
Upload -------413
ping ----184
its ok...not as good as i would want my connection to be ...but good enough...
and too make it less laggy usually i just shut off all computers and make sure only the xbox gets the prime connection without interference:)

It doesn't matter if you have you computer on or not as long as your not downloading or uploading anything on it, you can't change how well your internet connection performs unless you wanna pay your ISP more money for a better connection.

with numbers like those i wonder why you continually pull host. Im pretty sure other ppl have a better connection then u

What are you talking about, joey probaly has one of the best connections on the forum, most of the people on xbox live have the most basic high speed internet like myself which is around 2.5 megs down and .5 megs up.

thats just it, idk. My question simply is If Joey has such a good connection how come custom games, ect with him have unbearable lag for most?

I live in newfoundland. On the site I got my connection checked it said the closest server was 900 miles away. And you guys live well over 900 miles way. Distance definitely has a lot to do with it.

..besides, the antenna on my igloo keep slipping off.

Yeah it is good when I do pull host, never lags. Problem is I only pull host if i'm playing with uk guys in the middle of the day. I'm always on US host and the latency kills me, so frustrating, especially when my connection would probably host the game better, let you North American guys put up with the latency lol.
