What would you like to see changed in Halo 3?
« on: December 14, 2008, 12:05:43 PM »
By far the fact that some needs to host a game and they get a huge advantage, Bungie sold millions of copies of all the halo games and they are to cheap to buy a nice big server so we can play on that instead, I just wanna punch them in the kidney.

Yeah, I would really like to see that happen in the future.  Maybe we could send some requests to Bungie or something.  They are going to release Recon next year, and when they do, it will only add to the millions of dollars they have made on the Halo series.  I don't know how many other games uses a set server on consoles, but it really would be a fair and great addition.

Being host can be a huge advantage if you're good at the game. When hosting you actually have to shoot the opponent bang on every time but you can be sure that if you do the shots will do damage. Off-host there is some leniency in the netcode that allows for you to miss slightly but your shot will still register as  a hit. It's designed to combat latency but doesn't work very well as is evident from sniper bullet registration sometimes.
