Let it be known I'm back. I'm cleaning house. You want to advertise or steal visitors of HaloForever.com, then you're barking up the wrong tree. Trust me. More more BS. I've been stabbed in the back, and I've had enough. I will be making various changes which I hope you like. Feedback is always welcome. If someone here is advertising another halo site, PM me.

With your help, and the other loyal visitors we can certainly regain the good ol days. A new Halo game from Bungie in late 2010 means lots to talk about. MLG should be excited also. At least another year out of the 360 before it bites the dust!

I will leave this post up as an indicator of who you really are. Let's just say you lack graditude. Canadians are said to have class so I don't see how you consider youself a Canadian. I'm Canadian and proud of it, but I guess we all aren't decent respectful people.
The only decay is in your imagination. Go make your own site. Any of the regular contributors to this community aren't like you. Any of the regulars here would agree that it's pathetic to be advertising and spamming the forums here in an attempt to take people away. Go find another community and website to leech and spam. It's not welcomed here. If anyone supported you in your efforts to leech the forum dry, then I would gladly show them the door. Everyone here knows that I consider the regulars in high regard. I respect all you top players. I do the expert pages to help you guys promote yourself and showcase your talents. If you don't see a problem with what you've been doing here, then you need wake up. It's obvious. Be part of this forum, but leave your spam and leeching at the door. It's pathetic. If the forums here were stagnant, then leave. Advertising another site isn't the same though. It's low, it's pathetic and it's back stabbing. I'm older than you and most people here. Perhaps in a few years you will realize how rude you really are. Having said that, I appreciate your non spam posts here.
The other regulars can post here and comment on this subject if they so choose. I think they will agree with me. There are other forums around, but to steal or attempt to sabotage this forum and site is the furthest thing from respectful.
The worst part of what you've been doing is that fact that you leeched tips and friend that you met here, and then tried to get them to move somewhere else. I'm expecting an apology, so when you're ready, I'm ready for you to acknowledge what you've been doing.
I'm not kicking you out, you've been a regular here. I respect anyone who has been part of this forum and site. It's all about learning to play better. It's not about sabotaging the forum because it's not meeting your needs. If it's got problems, then do something about it. Did you ever email me? No. Did you ever make suggestions to make it better? No.

I accidentally deleted my previous post, but what I don't understand is am I being accused of spamming here? Or leeching? Or whatever the fuck you're talking about? I watched over this site for a long time, and if you're referring to how I told the few new comers to this site to come over to halolegacy.com, you need to get a few things straight. First, it's not my site. I have no ownership of it, the site belongs to Allan (Mwiff) and partly Cody (NA Golfball). The reason I told them to come to halolegacy was because this site was entirely dead (the only new posters were porn bots) and a lot of the old haloforever community had moved to halolegacy. The only way that these new members would stay is if the community they were in was actually active, and at that time the only active community was halolegacy. So, I tried to bring them over their. I figured that if this site ever became active again, some older emembers would return to here from halolegacy, and bring a good chunk of that new community with them, which would partly be composed of the new members who were directed to halolegacy from here. So, if you would've rather had those few new members to haloforever leave entirely than be directed to a site composed of old haloforever members as a temporary tactic to keep the new members while this site was pretty much down, I am sorry, I was only trying to help. But don't accuse me of things until you've got the facts straight. And another thing you've got to realize is that you did piss off a few people and getting their loyalty back is going to be a lot harder than you think. Inversion is back on Halo now that he's been back from boarding school and he was posting again for a little bit, but he left when he realized the only person still here within a weekly basis was me.

Fair enough. Yes, the issue was telling people here, to go to halo legacy because this community/forum was dead. The ironic part is, it's dead because people were not posting here. See what I mean? To answer your question, this is the entire problem I have with what's been happening. Making suggestions to improve or update these forums would have been a lot better way of dealing with the situation in my opinion. I see from what you're saying, you weren't doing it to sink these forums.
The bot issue, was obviously my mistake. That should never ever happen here again. For the record, that caught me completely off guard. My stats is what I've been looking at and the forums were #2 most visited. That meant to me, everything was fine. I run a lot of site and I hadn't actually checked in here to see what happened. Trust me, it was extremely frustrating to see that! So in reality, I have no idea how many humans are checking in on the forum on a regular basis. So, say for the last 6 months I have been COMPLETELY unaware of that issue. Obviously that would ruin any forum out there.
I think the people who are part of the experts page, and have their own forum should be accountable. If they turn their back on the site that helped give them a name, then have decency and ask to be removed. It makes no sense to have "inactive" experts here. If they are promoting themselves elsewhere and are making no attempt to be part of this forum, then they will be removed. Understand one thing. I am extremely loyal to the people who have and are contributing to the site and forums. However, if those same people are contributing to another site, and have dropped this forum, I would like to have those people removed. Of course they are welcome to show an interest again, but if they are not planning on being regulars here, then I will find other players who will show a bit more loyalty.
If people are pissed off, then so be it. I say again, you won't find a person more loyal than me. I didn't make people experts here and on the website unless I believed they were true to the whole idea of "learning to play better". Those people were selected because they are top players, and because they were willing to help some other players. My goal is to profile these players and help them promote their name. A bit of promotion is what I intend on providing players. Trust me I get a LOT of people asking to be experts, but in reality, 99% of them aren't able to show initiative when it comes to helping other players out to get better.
So in reality Ponked, you have been the most loyal person because you've been still checking in. Nobody has been posting much of anything, but you are a few others have. So, let's move it forward, close the chapter on the posts telling people to go to halo legacy.

The reaason people weren't posting was because the administrator was gone completely and there were no updates or changes being made to to the site, which in turn caused a lot of the mods (many of whom weren't the best choices) to leave. Some of them had personal stuff going on like Inversion, who was at boarding school for 7 months, but many just left like Authority, Hectic, and Enemy. Without any mods or an admins to maintain the site, it turned into a gong show and because of that, a lot of members left. It was really only the older haloforever members who came to halolegacy.
Now like I said, I understand if you're really busy or you have some stuff going on (like the fact that you're running lots of other websites), but you can't be the admin. of a community and only watch over it by looking at the visitor stats. You either have to find the time to look after this site properly by monitoring it (by actually visiting the site, not just looking at stats) and updating it on a regular basis or, like I said, pass the reigns off to someone else. Maybe have one or two co-admins who have the same abilities as a regular admin, and you still own it. Basically, you need some loyal members who can update the site and monitor it if you don't physically have the time to do it yourself. Otherwise, any potential new members who come here are just going to leave again when they see that there's multi-week stretches of no new posts.
A lot of the older members could come back if you play your cards right because they want a large, active halo community too (halolegacy is basically just our own little group from here), but you've got to realize that a lot of them would've been great mods and you kind of snubbed them when you started making brand new people mods when other people had been here for a long time, had helped a lot of newer players, and were very loyal until you did that. Take Ashthera for example, he taught me this game from the ground up until I got to the point where I was at his level and he couldn't teach me anymore. He was also very loyal to this site. The same with Simply Electric and riangle, although they don't really play Halo anymore. I guess what I'm trying to say is you had people right in front of you who could've done a great job taking care of this site, but instead you went and got people who basiically didn't care about this community. I know it's probably very hard trying to figure out who'd be a good mod and who wouldn't, but that was essentially the mistake that caused the collapse of haloforever. No admins = no mods = no members = no community.

You make great points. We should talk further about this. As a fellow Canadian it would be great to have you aboard in a more senior role.

I just showed up at this site asking for help and you played literally hundreds of games with me not knowing who I was or asking anything in return. Same with Cody and Allen, I can't even count the number of customs you guys let me play with you. Joey wasn't all that nice tho LOL
