Internet speed

I was just wondering what speed everybody has for xbox live.  I will only be able to get a 1.5 mb speed and I was just wondering if that would be fast enough.  when i do play it is at my bro house and he has a 5 or 6 MB i cant remember and thats pretty good so I was just wondering.

i know what you mean bros i was in your shoes for the past 14 years....i had dial up for 14 years of my life....i just got highspeed 2 months ago....look into this...go to google type in "Highspeed unplugged" bell and rogers both have a service for this new innovation dn thats the only way i have high speed....i live out in the country so highspeed was never available....but now it is thanks to this little wireless box....you can also go the that site and look up your area and see if it is available. 

512 should be fine for playing games online. That's what I used for more than a year. If you want to host games, I would recommend 1Meg or higher. Broadband is getting so cheap so you are spoilt for choice. a quote from a site...but basically if u have highspeed xbox live will not be laggy.

Thanks for the info.  I live in the country but talked the parents into get into a new wireless company instead of our phone company which has not tower in our area.  But it is crazy how much they want for a 1.5MB internet.

OMG!!! 70?? are you serious?? that means you must be far out into the country....see like for me im only a 5 min drive into the city....damn 70?? and ontop of that xbox live??....wow thats quite a bit of money there buddy...you should look into something cheaper....like comcast

We are like ten minutes from a town that has internet and they dont have a high speed tower in our area so this granitewave is the really the only choice till our phone company gets a tower in our area.  I guess the speed varys depending how close you are to the tower and we are only like a five minute drive so I shouldn't to bad I e-mailed the company and I guess you can get up to 6MB so I imagine they would take that and make that 70 for us.  But we are calling the company tomorrow about it.  I wish we lived on like the edge of the town.  And on top of all of this I have to get the wireless adapter xbox live thing and thats like a 100 but I have to pay for that myself.  I can't just use ethernet cables either so yeah.

Internet is the best one for worldwide searching.. Also its speed is the main thing... Speed up internet services is the good. one.. My internet speed is 1424kbps, 628 kbps... Also i checkout my internet speed from here http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/ @ free of costs.. Just you too try with this site, also in here we can get IP address details..

Heh I'm on Telus adsl and I get 3MB. Todays standard that sucks. I'm cheap what can I say?

It is good enough to play and thats fine by me.
