Hey guys this has been a very hectic month for me. July has been full of ups and downs. In gamebattles are team hasn't been placing as high as we hoped. So as a result we removed Im Back off the team.
This is because Im Back has less fun with the game and takes it a little too seriously. Don't get me wrong my team takes it seriously but shouting with insults and harsh language doesn't work for the rest of our team. Phil gets really cocky at times and underestimates to often. Don't get me wrong though, Phil is a talented player but our team doesn't get along with him on and off the field so to speak. This results in poor gameplay and frustration on our team. Phil is trying to take the leadership role on the team and is one of those "know it all players." He tries to change our whole team strategy to his wants when the whole team is on a different page with setups. Most plays resulted in failure cause Phil is too individual in the games with us. For example he goes off the lift of Narrows in the beginning for their sniper cause he's kinda a weapon whore. This results in me and Noshi down a man at top mid cause Impulse is sniping from bottom. He puts his wants in front of the teams needs. I hope Phil has success on his new team though and has a similar playing style as he does.
As a result we picked up Iowa(Danny) What our team liked about Danny was that he adapts well to new setups and is great individually unlike Phil in both ways. Danny is also a blast to play with cause he has a great personality. He has the right balance of cockiness and humbleness. Danny's only downfall is his lack of team experience. Danny needs to work on his call outs. In time it will get better and as a result our team will get better. Danny's desire to learn will help speed up this process.
Why are team works out well is that me and Noshi knew each other very far back in our Halo careers since early Halo 2 days which results in great chemistry. We have a lot of team experience and What me and Noshi love about Matt(Impulse) and Danny is that they have the desire to learn just like me and Noshi. Our whole team is very patient with setups. We will use a setup and if not done well in a game we keep on trying it to perfect it and maybe some tweaks here in there. Our new team is better than its previous one cause we slow down more and we think before acting.
July can suck too though. On July 10th my wisdom teeth got taken out which was a B****! The problem wasn't them getting taken out, but the harsh punishment afterwards. Swollen cheeks and living off liquids for a few days. That means no hamburgers, hotdogs, nothing...
MLG Orlando will also be very interesting. I think this because the first two events the team ranks were so scattered up. For Example FB ranked first in Meadows but 7th in San Diego!!!!!!
I personally think Str8 Rippin, Final Boss, and Instinct will be at the top. This is because the three I listed are all teams that have a desire to learn and get better. As for Classic I think they will do worse in Orlando because replacing Fear with Naded is a very reckless choice. I think this because Fear is more of the Objective type but Naded is more of a slayer type. Triggers Down are good but they are the cockiest team on the circuit in my opinion. They don't practice as much as many other pro teams do. They talk a lot of trash when they don't have the right. For example Triggers Down talks trash to Instinct even though Instinct is ranked higher than Triggers Down. It's good to be confident but their over confidence with newly acquired Snipedown will lead to their downfall.
Our team is so focused in getting better that we are going to scrim Team Carbon. We will learn so much from them. I'm thinking of also setting up a date for LANing for our team. The more you know each other personally the better the chemistry.
For anyone that lives in MD on this site there is an FFA tournament for $3000 on Fredrick Road on July 27th. Me and my teammate Matt will be competing with a lot of other team friends such as most members of TK and Hzn.
