Elites?

Hi, I was just wondering what your view is on elites, apparently 9/10 halo 3 players are spartans.

1stly is the spartan just better than the elite game play wise? ie. harder to snipe, thinner etc

2ndly do people just hate elites because they are annoying to kill?

I've always been told 'why do you play the f@%&ing elite?' (some people have threatened to quit if I don't change and gone through with it) and when asking what was wrong have never been told. I'd be curious to know if you think there are any good or bad points about it!

Some people dont like them because its popular, some like myself dislike them because of how they look, some are supremecist, and some dislike them because they hate change and being different.

The only gameplay differences is that there heads are lower down, but farther away from the body. people dont like them because they say that theyre harder to snipe because of the lower head, but that dosnt affect sniping if your a good sniper, and theyre much easyer to hit from the side.

Sorry Lotor but the reason isn't popularity, supremism, etc.

There's actually a factual and logical reason for why people hate Elites.  There's a spot on the side of Elite's necks where everything from BR bullets to sniper rounds can pass through without harming the player in question.  At least this is the reason why MLG forbids the use of the Elite classification at MLG competitions or events, because it gives the user of the Elite armor classification in question an unfair advantage.

Bungie can't fix this problem with a patch so in order to repair it, they would pretty much have to release a different version of Halo 3 so they leave it the way it is.

If you don't believe me about the spot on their necks, test it yourself or watch Halo Mythbusters (I forget which episode, but it's on youtube).

I would recommend playing as a spartan, simply because I also hate Elites for the aforementioned reasoning.

Thanks for the info, ponked. I didnt know that, but my friends have been booted from customs with me because some people do just hate elites.

Agreed as much as Ponked, that is why I do not play Team Swat anymore when I wanted to chill and have fun there were these damn elites who I would open a clip of 9 shots on and they just keep going. Try it on Guardian and see for yourself.
