Guardian Map Callouts by John B.

Gold high/low- represents the gold lifts top and bottom level
Green- Mossy area where the bubble shield is located
Blue- room above the shotgun
Snipe tower- self explanatory
Elbow- 90 degree path leading to overshield
Middle- circular area above hammer
Weapons- the rest of the map can be identified by weapon and item location. For example if i just got killed below snipe tower I would say "Guy by overshield"

If an enemy thinks they are safe behind the glass where
the Gravity Hammer spawns on Guardian, teach them otherwise – if
you swing the hammer in their direction, its effects will pass through such barriers with ease. (added November 5, 2007)

Pro Tip - In Guardian Team Slayer, I like to have three of my teammates at the sniper tower. One of the guys is on the ramp that goes down to the trees (this guy is watching under glass), another guy at the bubble shield spawn just camping there waiting for people to pop out near the camouflage spawn. The other two teammates are just running around the snipe tower grabbing the overshield or using the sniper. (contributed by: Thomas "Tsquared" Taylor)

You will see an (*) next to a weapon. That means you have to drop that weapon in order for it to respawn (the time will count from the time you pick the weapon up)

- Dual Wielding - Due to so much close range fighting, dual wielding weapons is extremly useful.

- In general, go for the hammer. Tight corridors=hammer domination. It's in the middle, directly underneath the center platform. When playing king of the hill, grab the bubble shield (in the tree trunk) and the hammer, and camp out in the middle to rack up a high score. When approached, use the bubble shield. If someone enters the shield, use the hammer. Its a good idea to grab a medium-range weapon on the side as well, such as the battle rifle, for sniper protection.

I will be posting many Guardian tip and trick videos in the days and weeks to come. Players are learning the Halo 3 maps so it will take a bit of time for top notch tip and tricks videos. Just please keep checking back because I'll post them up as soon as they are available! For now, I recommend that you watch the Guardian Flythrough and Walkthrough videos. Just watch while consulting the Guardian maps which you can print out. Learn this stuff and you will starting winning!

Legit and T2 kindly sent us footage from the Guardian Oddball game. While players from both teams forewarned us that even basic strategies for all maps and game types are still in their infancy, players can still gain a lot of knowledge by watching these pros play against each other.
