Expert Tips - Tricks - Glitches
Start Dominating Xbox Live Like Never Before
Bungie Xbox Live Playlist Update December 2007. What's new?
On Guardian, (HC style) the Gravity Hammer has been replaced with a Sword.
There have been significant updates to many of the Halo 3 maps containing Maulers. (Thank God)
1. Guardian. All Maulers have been removed along with the Flare. That's the best update yet.
2. Construct. Both Maulers on top level have been removed. The bottom level ones take longer to respawn.
3. Epitaph. All Maulers have been removed and replaced with SMG's. They have 2 spare clips.

Halo 3 - Xbox Live Domination - Spartan Laser Tip - Wider Spartan Laser Beam.
When the Spartan Laser is about to fire, spin left or right and the beam will get much bigger giving it a lot more range. (contributed by: willy825, added January 7, 2007)
Halo 3 - Xbox Live Domination - Plasma Pistol Tip - One fully charged shot at an approaching ghost will temporarily stall it.... long enough to get a kill and hop on!!! (contributed by MLoete, added December 20, 2007)
Halo 3 - Xbox Live Domination - Spartan Laser Tip - Since the laser tracking beam can alert your opponent to the impending blast, one tip is to lead the beam just far enough away from them while it is charging, then just before it fires, point it at them. Kablooey! (contributed by meestermole, added December 17, 2007)
Halo 3 - Xbox Live Domination - Grenade Tips - Grenades are your friends, you cant get reported for doing grenade jumps, so go look some up. If someone is retreating try to throw a grenade where they WILL BE in a few seconds, not where they are. The art of grenade throwing takes a while to learn but it can be a very powerful tool. Weapons Guide - A nice article with short tips and tricks for each weapon. I like the screenshots! (Halo 3 Xbox Live Tip added November 25, 2007)
Halo 3 - Xbox Live Domination - Battle Rifle Tip - How do you use the battle rifle successfully? Body, Body, Body, Head… Put the first few shots into the body and then move to the head once the shields are down. Always be strafing, and use your strafing to make minute adjustments to your aim. Expert Mauler Tips from Huub!
The first thing that I want to make clear is that THE MAULER RULES, here is the explanation and some tips:
1. Double wield the mauler! Use it with a medium range weapon so you will be able to shoot people running towards you even before they get close enough to shoot with the mauler and then if they get close enough, bam and they won't move a thing (remember: the mauler is a close combat weapon!).
2. If you decide not to double wield the mauler then use the following tactic: if the enemy is close enough to run to him without dieing before you get to him, then run to him and when in practicaly total hit range shoot and immediately after that melee him (the mauler is a very powerful melee weapon duo the knife attached to the bottom of it) and he won't be a problem anymore.
3. If you shoot at sombody with a mauler then always try aiming for the head for an instant kill.
4. Don't go shooting on somebody that isn't close by because you will barely hit him at all (unless he almost dead already of course)
5. If you use double wield maulers then either wait untill he's in total hit range and shoot or shoot early enough to shoot again before he reaches you.
6. Be aware of your ammo! A mauler does't have much ammo but luckely it's easy to find ammo for it.
7. Don't go running with a mauler in the open because it is a short range weapon.

Halo 3 - Xbox Live Domination - Shotgun Tip: Fire the shotgun slightly beyond the one-shot range and instantly follow it with a melee. I've gotten more killing sprees with that trick on a close-quarters level than anything else. (contributed by: MaxPowerhouse7, added November 7, 2007)
Halo 3 - Xbox Live Domination - Brute Spiker Tip
Power: Medium
Accuracy: Medium
Range: Short - Medium
The 'Type-25 Spiker Carbine' Aka the Brute Spiker, is a handheld, rapid-firing,
spike-launching gun that can be dual wielded for maximum damage. It's fast
firing rate ensures enemies are 'Pinned down' (sorry for pun) under fire and
it is quite versatile as well. It has a 40 spike clip, and is similar to the
SMG, however due to it's weight, it has no recoil. It has a very quick reload,
and can be used as a close- medium ranged weapon without losing too much of
it's accuracy. As with the SMG, it can be dual wielded for maximum effect,
and when coupled with a plasma rifle, can take down an enemy's shields quickly,
followed by a spray of spikes.
The spiker can burn through flesh and armor with ease, but when facing a
shielded enemy, it is better to go in with a melee strike first. As with
most brute weapons, it holds a powerful blade underneath, allowing for deadly
melee attacks. This, in combination with it's fast ROF, makes it an ideal
close range weapon.
